Renewable Energy Awards Finalists Announced

Renewable Energy World has announced the finalists for its Reader’s Choice 2009 Excellence in Renewable Energy Awards. Voting will be open until Jan. 31 at the voting site. The winners will be announced at the 7th Annual Renewable Energy World Conference and Expo North America 2009. To be held in Austin Texas, the event planners expect over 5,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors. The conference is the largest of its kind in the world.
Categories for the voting include: Project of the Year, Utility-Scale Renewables, Distributed and On-Site Renewables and Building Integrated Renewables, as well as categories that honor individual leadership and accomplishment in the field for 2009. These categories include: Leadership in Renewable Energy and Innovation in Renewable Energy. For a complete list of the eligible candidates, click here. All candidates have been narrowed down from hundreds of entries in each respective field, so you know this is a list of the best of the best.
The awards are focused on projects and individuals impacting the US, Canada and Mexico, and present the chance for those of us that like what these folks are doing to give them credit for their contributions. The conference will take place February 23-25, 2010 and is a leading renewable conference in the industry. It focuses on all types of renewable energy and the business that it takes to make it happen.
