When most people purchase a home built some three decades earlier, gutting and starting from scratch seems like a logical path to take. But when Peni and Mel Warren purchased their 1974 home in the Pennwood neighborhood of Dover, they had no intention of changing the original structure of the home. Instead, they embarked on 10-year remodeling stint where no walls were removed and no rooms were added.
Upon purchasing the home, the Warrens were clear that they wouldn’t be moving anytime in the near future- if at all. Thus, they decided that tackling one large remodeling project a year was a viable way to go. They began by repainting the Williamsburg blue woodwork in white and completing a large renovation of the kitchen and family room.
