Who says fashion should be reserved for the runway? J. Paul Lobkovich of Vienna’s Lobkovich Kitchen Designs drew her inspiration for this spectacular D.C. kitchen from the queen of fashion herself: Coco Chanel.
One of the main focal points in this space is the range hood. Lobkovich designed it with a wedding cake in mind, using stainless steel and metallic tiles to complete the effect. A crystal chandelier from Burgess Lighting helped mirror the dramatic effect.
And of course, inspiration from such a high-end source requires the use of only the best materials. The center island was completed with Statuario marble, the sink area was custom-built with Santos rosewood, and crystal handles were added to the glass cabinets.
While the home is currently on the market in the Spring Hill Farm community of Washington, DC, women are already swooning over the beautiful kitchen. Who knows? It might make wearing heels while cooking dinner seem like a good idea.
