Milgard Radius Windows
While it may be “hip to be square,” according to rock icon Huey Lewis, it’s even cooler to think outside the box and add a little flair to your home’s appearance - both inside and out. How do you make it happen? With radius or arched windows.
Milgard Windows & Doors offers a series of window lines that include the radius/arched window. All windows can be custom-made to fit any size window opening, allowing it to take on a sleek shape of its own or become a beautiful addition atop another more traditional window.
Why Choose Radius Windows?
Like a picture window, the Milgard radius window is one solid, stationary pane that does not open to allow for ventilation, but does allow for maximum incoming daylight and superior, unobstructed views of outdoor scenery. If you like the look of the radius window but want extra ventilation, Milgard suggests combining different windows styles to allow for the best of both worlds. The radius window is a master at style combination. You can order a full-sized radius window and sandwich it between double or single hung windows on either side. Or, you can place it above a casement window or exterior door. There are dozens of options to enhance the look and function of your home.
Window Shape Options
You can also order the Milgard radius window in quarter-round options, where the window is squared on all sides but one top corner, which is rounded off. Or, you can opt for the full-round radius window with a radius on all four sides - a circle!
If the round shape just doesn’t fit your style, you’re in luck - Milgard also carries the radius in a shallow arch, which is more elliptical, elongated and classical in appearance.
The radius window is available with all customized shaping options in every one of their window lines: vinyl, fiberglass, WoodClad fiberglass, aluminum and thermally improved aluminum.
