Founded in 1903 by Danish immigrant Hans Andersen, Andersen Windows and Doors is today a large private international company employing over 9,000 people at more than 20 locations. Andersen manufacturers over 6 million wood windows and doors each year in its 2.8 million square foot facility in Bayport, Minnesota.
Andersen, often spelled Anderson Windows, manufactures three categories of products; its 400 Series features superior craftsmanship and top performance with the widest range of sizes, styles and accessories. The 200 Series concentrates on the most popular sizes and options, while featuring quality and good value. The Andersen Architectural Windows are handcrafted in dramatic sizes and shapes to complement the 400 and 200 series.
There are 11 specialized designs that are part of the 400 Series product line, including the Frank Lloyd Wright® Series, the Artisan Series and the Classic Series. Because they are handcrafted by skilled artisans using centuries old techniques, these window and door panels are individual works of art that are designed to fit precisely in the Andersen doors and window frames. This allows for simple window cleaning and maintenance. Andersen Windows also feature a selection of hardware choices.
In addition, there are two 400 Series of replacement windows. To illustrate the many features of the 400 Series Woodwright® Double-Hung Insert Replacement Window, these windows stay cleaner and reduce water spotting by virtue of their Low E4 glass. They offer classic traditional styling, fine milling detail, rich natural wood interiors, low maintenance exteriors, custom sizing, and allow you to retain your existing frame and trim. In addition, they feature convenient tilt-in cleaning, fast installation and optional nearly-invisible TruScene® insect screens. The 400 Series Woodwright® Double-Hung Window provide custom sizes in 1/8” increments and varied grilles and screen options.
Clearly, Andersen Windows provide a wide range of features and options and styles to suit any taste, at a variety of price points. Andersen windows prices differ depending on the series, ranging from the lower priced 200 Series, all the way up to the hand crafted Architectural Series.
