While many know Thomasville for their furniture line, the company actually ventured into the cabinetry business about 10 years ago. Today, they offer affordable cabinetry styles for the homeowner on a budget—or simply for those that can’t wait around for custom cabinetry. Here’s a bit of information about Thomasville and what they have to offer.
If you’re trying to fit your kitchen cabinets into a rather tight budget, Thomasville Cabinetry offers some very reasonably priced designs. You can expect to pay around $145 per linear foot, but this can vary drastically depending on the materials used as well as the style. For more specific cost estimates, contact a kitchen contractor in your area.
Since Thomasville Cabinetry is mass-produced (not like custom cabinetry), their products may not be quite as durable as custom-made cabinets. However, as long as the cabinets are still with the homeowner at the initial site of installation, they are covered under the company’s limited lifetime warranty.
Thomasville Cabinetry is easy to maintain and simple to clean. Use a soft cloth and warm water or a mixture of dishwashing detergent and water to wipe them down. Make sure to avoid abrasive cleaning products, as this could damage the finish.
Thomasville cabinets are only available at Home Depot stores throughout the United States and Canada. They are not available at Thomasville home furnishing stores or galleries.
Thomasville Classic Cabinets can be purchase unfinished, but Thomasville Nouveau Cabinets cannot.
Thomasville Cabinetry came into being as a licensing arrangement between Thomasville, a long-respected furniture manufacturer, and Home Depot, the exclusive retail outlet for the product line. When it was first announced in 2001, a Thomasville executive noted, “Thomasville Cabinetry has more of a furniture feel to it and allows our furniture customers to extend the same sense of fashion Thomasville Furniture is noted for into new areas of the home.”
