Like many log cabin kitchens, this one is certainly not short on dark and rustic features, though it has a much sleeker, upscale feel. The horizontal lines made by the overhead beams are gracefully contrasted in the vertical slats of the beadboard cabinetry. Although the cabinets are dark in color, the kitchen is far from gloomy—subtle natural lighting, blond beams and beige flooring make sure of that.
As another reminder of how log cabins embrace the outdoors, the kitchen walls here resemble exterior walls with brick-like backsplash tiles. In fact, the whole room pays homage to nature with all of its eye-catching features made of either wood or stone. Even the usually intrusive appliances are hidden behind wooden facades. Gorgeous!
