Meet the Founder

Founder and CEO Michael Vass graduated from college in 1990 with an architectural drafting degree. With the experience his father gave him and the years of framing experience he picked up in Northern Virginia, he decided to leave a management career at UPS and follow his dream of building.

VASS Construction, Inc. is a dream come true for Michael, one he loves to share with others every day. “I truly enjoy what I do for a living,” Michael says. “I usually have more work completed by 10 a.m. than most people accomplish in an entire day.”

Michael’s philosophy is simple. His name is on the company, which he considers his personal guarantee to make sure each project is absolutely something to be proud of.

Specializing in Remodeling and Quality Service

Specializing in major renovations and additions, VASS Construction believes the single most important item in the business is client communication. Because of this philosophy, we have not had a SINGLE complaint in its history.

In addition to making it a mission never to overload our installation department, we take the time to visit every jobsite, every day to ensure proper timelines and relationships.

“We are very personal in nature,” Michael says. “I enjoy the friends I have worked for over the years.”

Our Process

The VASS Construction process is simple, based on developing ideas into visual and/or tangible elements. There’s a goal that every customer wants, and we work closely to develop the goals into an organized plan, setting the stage for perfection.

In the process, we eliminate the opportunity for miscommunication. VASS Construction, Inc. and our clients work as a team to conquer the project.

Part of working as a team with our clients includes developing a written tracking system for all construction information. We also encourage weekly meetings with our clients to review material selections as well as maintain progress reports keeping everyone on the same page. So when our customers say, “That’s not what I was expecting!” it is actually a good thing to hear.

VASS Construction, Inc. is currently taking many steps in the pursuit of going Green. We strive to work on the projects that most would run from. The more complicated, the more enjoyable the outcome.
