Careful Preparation is Part of the Job

Whether your flooring of choice is carpet, wood, or stone, Unique Flooring believes careful preparation is critical to a flawless job. "We oversee the whole job," says President Tony Oliva. He describes the following preparation steps.

• The living space is evaluated to ensure no damages are made to the furniture or walls.
• Furniture is carefully examined for pre-existing dents. It is then moved or disassembled according to the customer's instructions.
• To prevent scratching, at least 2 people work together to move furniture.
• Plastic covering is used to prevent dust from spreading in the home.
• The entire floor is examined for a level surface. The company grinds the floor if there are high spots or humps.
• When grinding the floor is required, a shop vacuum is used for clean up.

Whatever the scenario, preparation is carefully taken before Unique Flooring begins the installation process!

Working with the Customer
