About Our Company

RemodelWest is a seventeen-year old company specializing in the design and construction of residential remodel projects ranging from Kitchens and Baths to Additions and New Homes. Originally established as Cupertino Kitchen Design in 1992, we outgrew our name and branded our business as RemodelWest in 2006.

The new look to our company came with a new agenda, focused on implementing sustainable design and construction practices for all our projects. We function as two separate firms, RemodelWest|Design Inc. and RemodelWest|Construction Inc., allowing us to fulfill projects from the professional design community or for clients who do not have their design completed. 

Our studio is located in Cupertino, California, where we have product displays and where our design staff performs their work. We employ Certified Interior Designers (CID), Certified Kitchen and Bath Designers (CKD and CBD), and Certified Green Building Professionals (CGBP) through Build it Green, the authority in green building in Northern California. Additionally, we employ our own construction staff. 

Our capabilities include: Performing all design duties required to obtain necessary building permits and construction of the project through to the end. We typically assist our clients in specifying, procuring, and installing all finish materials. Our offering can be scaled accordingly to the clients' needs in the event they have completed their design work or specified all their materials prior to considering our company.  We enjoy working with the professional design community as it offers opportunities for creative and challenging projects.

About the RemodelWest Founder, Bill Reid

As the movement rapidly progresses, our promise is to contribute by mastering sustainable fundamentals, furthering our education, following and building on our declared sustainability practices, and focusing our offering solely aligned within this responsible solution. 

A West Valley native, I grew up in San Jose, attending Lynbrook High School and DeAnza College. My professional background stems from twenty-four years of hands on experience beginning in 1985 in cabinetry design and sales, and progressed to my involvement with a start up company from 1987-1991.  In 1992, at age 26, I started Cupertino Kitchen Design as a cabinetry supplier. We grew from a two-person company to fifty employees, evolved into a full service construction firm, and 7.5 million in sales.

My strengths are creating a vision for our company, planning, and empowering our employees to accomplish our goals. Our company was recognized in 2001 by the NAHB as a National Remodeling Quality Award Winner.  In 2006, I recognized our company had outgrown its name and took us down a path of re-creating our business. RemodelWest was born reflecting a comprehensive remodeling service.   

In recent years, I have embraced the sustainable movement and earned the Certified Green Building Professional designation from Build it Green and Certified Graduate Remodeler from the National Association of Home Builders.  I truly believe that our company can make a difference in the quality of our customers' lives and to the health of our earth.  I possess natural design abilities and enjoy helping our clients achieve their dream home.
