Quality First Home Improvement has been serving northern California through offices in Roseville, Redding, Vallejo, San Jose, and Susanville for the past four years. Owner Gary Kluck and President/CEO Gerry Anderson started the company in 2004, bringing with them 33 and 42 years of experience, respectively.
Doing it Right the First Time
"Our 'philosophy' is to provide installation and service of home improvements for our customers in the manner that we would have them done for our mothers," Gerry says. "Courteous, fast, efficient and complete are the requirements for all of our installations. Quality First – do it right the first time!"
Quality First specializes in the exterior of the home and property, from the property line to the top of the chimney. The company builds and/or replaces windows, exterior doors, exterior wall coating, roofing, gutters, heating and air conditioning, fences, decks, vinyl siding, paint, and stucco. Specialized employee crews or subcontractors are assigned for each of the categories. Quality First has the capacity to handle over 30 jobs simultaneously.
The Four Call Process
"Our Four Call Process addresses the concerns of the homeowner as they are kept up to date with all aspects of the work being accomplished. Because of this, we have very appreciative customers!" Gerry says.
Here's how the system works:
* Point One. Starting at the point of sale, Quality First assigns a personal Project Coordinator to the customer. At that time, the coordinator schedules a per-site inspection with the customer to review the work.
* Point Two. At the pre-site, the work is reviewed, specifications and measurements are taken, and the work and materials are ordered. The Project Coordinator is available to the customer to answer questions from that point until the job is completed to the customer's satisfaction.
* Point Three. Upon order, the Project Coordinator confirms the start date of the project with the customer. When the company receives notification of material shipping, the coordinator confirms the start date and time.
* Point Four. The Project Coordinator does follow-up with the installation crew on the job, and upon completion, while the installation crew is still there, speaks with the customer to ensure that the work has been done to the customer's satisfaction.
Filling an Industry Void
Quality First has a mission to fill the void left by companies and sole proprietors that are under-capitalized and consequently go out of business, leaving customers with incomplete work or unavailable services in the process. Gerry says, "The change is that in today's economy, the failure rate is much higher. The result is that the customer is unable to find companies that are able to address their problems in a quick and timely fashion. Quality First is able to fill that void."
In the process, customer satisfaction is always key. "We really enjoy seeing the customer light up because we have done a better job than they expected, and we accomplished the job a lot faster than what they had also expected. What they had seen and heard about from other companies had led them to expect less than what we deliver."
