John has been involved in residential construction since his late teens, when he worked as a framer and laborer. Today his company works on custom projects ranging from new homes to kitchens, windows, bathroom, and additions. "I have built million dollar homes and $300,000.00 homes," John says. "I have dug out 75-year-old basements and turned them into one and two bedroom apartments. I rip out old dated kitchens and bathrooms and turn them into the pride of the house."

"I can do just about any job that a subcontractor can do so I know how it should be and I don't accept less than 'excellent,' or the subcontractor does it over." In one instance, John describes an incorrectly installed door that had already been trimmed and painted. John had the door removed, installed correctly, re-trimmed, and re-painted. "Many contractors would have let it go as it was; I won't," he explains. "I also have a business management background, which allows me to run a profitable and efficient contracting company." He also meets growing demands from customers for products such as green building materials.

In the end, JMC Custom Remodeling can guarantee professional results. The trick is knowing what you are doing, knowing what to expect, and making sure it happens that way, according to John. From the onset of a project, John takes a lot of time with the homeowners to achieve a clear picture of their expectations. "The most rewarding part of my job is standing back and seeing a finished product and knowing that I created it."
