Handyman Connection has been a franchise since 1990, and Randy Hopkins has owned his Maricopa County establishment since 1994. "We are the original home improvement specialist. You see all these handyman companies popping up these days, but Handyman Connection was really the first one," Randy says.

Worry-Free Remodeling

Family-owned and operated, Handyman Connection tries to offer a worry-free home repair. "Customers have usually had a lot of problems in the past. They're looking for a painless experience, for someone who shows up on time, protects the work area, does great work, and cleans up when they're done. They're looking for someone they will feel comfortable with in their home."

Handyman Connection is just the contractor most homeowners are looking for. The company conducts an extensive screening process for every crew member. "All our craftsmen have at least 10 years of experience, most have 20 years or more. We perform background checks and are selective about who we bring in and send out to your home."

Handyman's background checks are conducted not only to make sure that craftsmen have the skills to do the work, but that they are honest and dependable, too. "We look at things from the homeowners' perspective. They're concerned about things like 'who's gonna be in my home, do they know what they're doing, are they going to show up everyday, what kind of mess are they going to leave in my home?' We set high expectations in customers' minds, finding craftsmen who meet and exceed those expectations."

Scope of Projects

Handyman Connection performs small- to medium-sized repair and remodeling projects both in the commercial and residential settings. "We've got about 25 craftsmen that work for us all over the Valley. We match up the right craftsmen with the right skills to every customer." Larger projects are assigned a project manager to track quality and spot check work on a regular basis.

In addition, Handyman Connection never marks up materials. "Most companies will buy materials for you and mark it up, we'll let you buy it and save you money. With the growth of Lowes and Home Depot, people are getting good deals on material, but need someone to install it for them."

Handyman Connection enjoys helping people to realize their vision and goals. "We get to help their home be a little nicer."
