Focusing on quality remodels beginning at $50,000 and up, in addition to custom home building and full service design, we service the greater Puget Sound area, bordered by Mukilteo in the north, Renton in the south, Issaquah on the east, and the Puget Sound coast on the west. We’ve been in business since the late 70’s and our President and founder, Ken Cornett, brings over 3 decades of experience to every project.

Our Process

Few companies can attest to the true design-build experience as we do. We employ in-house experts for architectural design, interior design, and cabinet design, resulting in the most efficient and streamlined process possible. We have a retail showroom for cabinets, flooring, and tile on site, along with product and material libraries for your convenience.

We don't under-estimate your project, then bump up the costs once you are signed up. On the contrary, our conservative estimates allow for pleasant surprises when it comes to cost. Our cost "triangle" is highly detailed and organized according to finishes, scope of work, and square footage to prevent cost overruns. We enjoy helping people achieve their dreams and support a fun and pleasant experience, from the planning stage to the product outcome and beyond.

Company History

Ken Cornett, President and founder of Estate Homes, started in the construction business in the late 70's, building some of the first homes around Mill Creek.  His experiences as a carpenter, framer, superintendent, and laborer gave him a solid foundation upon which to build his practice.  Early in his career, Ken built seventeen custom homes and remodeled a multitude of homes in the Mill Creek vicinity.

Ken realized early on that his business would only be as good as his reputation and that his own personal ethics would be the guiding force of his practice for the rest of his life. In the late 90's Ken moved from his home-based business into a business plaza in Mill Creek, WA, now the current Estate Homes office.  He began assembling a staff of design and construction veterans who would be the cornerstone of the growth and expansion of Estate Homes.
