DLM Enterprises is a General Contractor firm owned and operated by Dennis Meurer and Maureen Caldwell-Meurer. Business partners of 14 years, we have worked on everything from eco-friendly solutions and solar-powered homes to custom stair-building, cabinetry and furniture -  visit photos shots on the website.

Maureen and Dennis are hands-on contractors.  Dennis’s artisan woodwork is unique, with a level of craftsmanship unmatched by most general contractors. We enjoy all aspects of the work, from helping clients in the planning stages through to the design phase.

Our Process 

• DLM is involved in site allocation, design, engineering, hiring, accounting/budget, construction management and oversight.
• Dennis specializes in hands-on work with all the subs, with an emphasis on details for the whole job, actual design and installation of stairs, cabinetry, doors, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, windows and floors.
• We hire people of caliber and do our part to support the economy. We enjoy a good relationship with our contractors and many sub-contractors as well. 
• We are a member of the Better Business Bureau, Dunn & Bradstreet, Contractor Registry,  and are pending Green Certification Rating  mid-May, pending  Small Business.

Eco-Friendly

DLM’s interest in green building shows in our design work and attention to detail. These are conscious efforts that cut costs on your energy bills while promoting environmental sustainability.  

Some eco-friendly products we use are: Solar Foam Energy insulation; FSC-certified hardwood flooring; recycled flooring; Smart-Home electronic control settings for the whole house; No- and Low-VOC paint; natural products, such as marble, travertine, and stone; and electro-chromatic windows, which are windows that can switch to “Darkened Glass” so the sun’s rays are filtered, saving you 40% more than other windows while protecting furniture from fading under the sun’s harsh light.  

State-of-the-Art Off-Grid Solar Energy 

For the last six years, we have worked together with state-of-the art green building projects that range from remodels and rebuilding houses to full-scale development. DLM recently designed a gorgeous Tuscan-style villa in St. Helena, CA. The house is powered completely off-grid and was one of the forefront in technology for residential houses of its kind.
