Cyclo Construction

About Us | Examples of Our Work

Mike Reirdon, CEO of Cyclo Construction, says his company's goal is "to provide our clients uncompromised, prompt, and professional service with the highest quality workmanship in the industry, at a fair price."

Servicing all of San Diego County, Cyclo Construction has been in business since Aug 14, 1987.    Cyclo's project range is vast, from upgrading bathrooms to adding retaining walls and detached garages to complete rebuilds from one wall standing.

Workload and Staff Organization

"The difference between Cyclo and others is we have one partner that runs our business and the other that runs our work. By doing so we can provide to our clients a financially stable company that truly loves building peoples' dreams."

Cyclo not only treats customers with fairness and respect, but their employees, too. In this manner, Cyclo maintains high staff retention. "We treat our staff as we would want to be treated by offering fair wages to be able to live in San Diego, a week's paid vacation, 12 days paid personal days, and 100 % paid health benefits."

A typical workload for Cyclo Construction will include juggling a bar-restaurant rebuild, a complete home remodel, and a kitchen add-on. In addition to owners Mike and Jeff, Cyclo Construction employs 8 staff members. "Under Jeff is Brian. He is our superintendant. Brian is also a licensed General Contractor and has 20 years of construction knowledge."

Guaranteed Customer Satisfaction

Cyclo Construction prioritizes customer satisfaction. "Customer satisfaction is # 1 to us! The customer may not be always right but they are NEVER wrong!"

"All homeowners are concerned with budget, timeline and quality of work," Mike adds. "We make every effort to have a very strong working relationship with the homeowner. We do this by having daily to weekly meetings based on the size of the project. We go over our project budget and provide a snap shot spreadsheet. We go over any changes and concerns we have or the client might have."

That's why seeing the clients' faces at the end of the project is the most rewarding step of all.

More on Cyclo's Founding Members

Mike

Mike first entered the building industry at the age of 15, during the summers in high school working for his neighbor, who was a kitchen cabinet general contractor. Mike continued his love for building through college and continues to build to this day. After college, Mike went to work for his father in the electronics field, where he learned the business. He now holds the title of CEO with offices in San Diego, Singapore, and Scotland and a global staff of 40 employees. A few years back, Jeff and Mike paired up on a room addition side project, and after the project, they decided to take the side work to the next level. They have not looked back since. Mike's ties to Cyclo are to run the day-to-day business aspects of the company.

Jeff

Jeff also worked through high school with a general contractor. After high school, Jeff went to ASU to become an Architect. After his first year was over, he came back to San Diego for the summer and went to work in the construction field. After the summer was over, he decided to hang up the pencil for a hammer, as his heart was in the building aspect of the trade. Jeff is a licensed general contractor and is experienced in every aspect of the building process of residential homes. He has an extensive knowledge of specialty products and materials.  Jeff is Cyclo's vice president of operations. He oversees and runs Cyclo's current construction jobs.
