Owner Brad Jones founded the business out of a lifelong goal to build a career around something he really enjoys. "My true passion is design and building that design," Brad says. "I especially like to transform old kitchens into modern marvels. My last kitchen seen on my webpage literally puts potential buyers into a state of awe. My bathroom designs are a culmination of ideas from traveling all over the world in the last 4 years."
Brad T Jones Construction specializes in everything from kitchens and bathrooms to decks and concrete. "I built an open European shower for a client that had a rain shower and it came right out of the ceiling that had a European touch not seen here in the states. Concrete design is third on the list of top design and build. I recently traveled to Las Vegas for what will be an annual visit to one of the country's largest conventions, The International World of Concrete. Learning and applying the latest and greatest concrete techniques allows me to use my imagination to no end."
In addition to having 10 years of trade experience in the construction industry, Brad spent 10 years working for "Corporate America." Then, he and his wife got involved in real estate, buying homes, fixing them up, and "flipping" them. "After completing the last 'flip,' demand for work from friends and acquaintances was tremendous. It became apparent what direction I needed to take my business to become a legal and legitimate contractor."
Today, Brad's business bears his name, and it's not a commitment he takes lightly. "My company philosophy really begins with the name. I wanted my name Brad T Jones to reflect the business. By putting my name as the company name instead of a DBA with some fictitious name, I felt it was important to stand for a personable, high quality, and professional business transaction. I have nothing to hide and everything to gain from my customers in the form of references to repetitive business."
In addition, Brad T Jones Construction supports the environmental movement for pro-green building and stays abreast of the latest trends in the green building industry. The company plans to be Green Point certified in the near future. Safety is another priority for Brad, who considers the homeowners' health and safety, and that of his subcontractors,' prior to beginning any project.
Brad T Jones Construction approaches each project with careful planning, assisting the process with the use of technology. "I try to make myself easily available by phone and use the latest in technological communication. Text messaging, emails, cell phone, and computer skills are all a matter of survival in this business. With careful planning comes organization, networking with subs, and providing timely documents to my clients. I use the latest up-to-date software programs to help in a professional and thorough bidding process. I am careful not to cut any corners and to check and re-check all my work so there are no mistakes on either side."
