Blaylock Design and Build is a Class-A General Contractor dedicated to providing quality construction services to our customers by developing a successful partnership that carries them from the design phase through the project's completion. As a small, family-owned and operated business, the owner is onsite throughout the project to provide personal attention to each customer's needs. We strive to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction through timeliness, responsiveness, attention to detail, and meeting budget goals.   

Company History and Background

Blaylock Design and Build was started because previous employers in the construction business lacked dedication to personal attention. They concentrated more on sales and the next project instead of focusing their attention on the final product and the satisfaction of current customers.

Blaylock Design and Build completes each and every project on-time and on-budget. Owner Kyle Blaylock emphasizes personal attention and is available to each customer, in addition to being on-site each day to ensure the quality of the work. The majority of our projects are from repeat and referral business, which is a testament of our satisfied customers. Blaylock Design and Build has served homeowners in Fairfax and Arlington Counties since 2004.

Remodeling Specialty and Approach

Blaylock Design and Build specializes in small and large-scale additions, custom homes, as well as kitchen and bath remodeling. Compared to other companies, Blaylock Design and Build's workload is relatively small, managing only 3-4 projects at any given time. This enables us to not overbook and allows us to provide the personal attention that we pride ourselves on. Our staff consists of project managers and foremen who are on-site each day.      

Blaylock Design and Build takes pride in the network of professional subcontractors that we employ and have worked with since our inception. Each subcontractor is valued for their exceptional workmanship and integrity. We are proactive when scheduling projects, which allows us to anticipate and plan for delays (i.e., delivery of special orders/materials, inclement weather) and ultimately finish the project on-time.

Working with Homeowners

Finishing choices (i.e., paint/tile) are among the greatest concerns for most homeowners. We work with the customer and provide as many samples as possible to make our customer satisfied and confident with the final decision and end product.

We thoroughly enjoy the variety of the work that presents itself. We take great satisfaction in the partnership that is formed with each customer in the process of creating a home that is more enjoyable and functional for them and their family and friends.
