Advanced Concept Construction Inc. has been in business since 2003; however, owner Nicholas Kowal has been in the construction trade for well over a decade. A believer in doing things right the first time, Kowal started his own business in order to provide competent, high-quality service to homeowners. "I was tired of working with construction managers who didn't know what they were doing," he says.
Advanced Concept provides a wide range of commercial and residential construction expertise, including concrete work, foundations, paving stones, decks, and retaining walls. Kowal mentions that the company is very capable with all types of construction, but high-end landscaping projects spark an interest for creating something special. "These are something I love doing."
When it comes to service and craftsmanship, Advanced Concept really stands out from the pack. Kowal says that in today's economy, a lot of contractors just want to get the job done and get paid. However, Advanced Concept makes it a priority to build relationships with customers. "It's true that we are all here to make money; however, I think the customer's needs have to be satisfied. If the customer has a problem, I want my solution to permanently solve that problem."
Kowal does not agree with the current trend of using more and more subcontractors. "I am not a fan of this. If I cannot do the work 'in house,' I don't bid the job. I stick with what I know and know well. This assures the customer gets high quality and a fair price." One of the biggest worries among homeowners prior to remodeling is how long the job will take. "Homeowners want to know: How long will my life be in shambles? This is addressed case by case. I try to work with homeowners to ultimately get the job done, and be as invisible as possible."
Advanced Concept uses the best tools that fit the needs of each project accordingly. The company works hard to evolve and change along with the constantly evolving and changing business. "This keeps my head on a swivel, constantly learning and teaching to young apprentices," Kowal says.
