Spotlight on the Andersen Window Company

Always on the lookout for helpful products for your renovation or building project, we highlight brands that have time-tested reputations. With that in mind, we’ve developed a new series focusing on windows.
One company that offers quality products for your home is Andersen Windows & Doors. The Andersen Corporation has been in business since 1903, and prides itself on producing all natural, wood products. Instead of offering several different frame options, the company focuses on wood products . The frames are made out of several different woods, including pine, alder, mahogany, cherry, and the renewable wood composite Fibrex. Most of the frames come pre-coated or stained in a variety of finish options, or you have the option to finish them a color of your choosing.
Andersen has taken great care not to cut corners in another area: glass. Even Andersen’s lowest line, the 200 Series, comes with energy efficient, dual paned, Low E4 glass. Its more custom lines, the 400 Series and Architectural line, both offer high-performance, Low E4 glass that includes additional protection against the sun and temperature loss.
When your company is over 100 years old, your reputation is obviously important to you. Because of this, Andersen has taken great strides to fully stand behind its products. Products come with a 20-year warranty on all of the glass and 10 years on the rest of the window, including the hardware. When you get the chance, take a peek at our new branch in the CalFinder Library. Our series of articles highlights the different types, styles, and prices of each of the Andersen product lines. Even if you opt to go with another brand, this information should educate you on some of the features you may want to consider before getting window estimates.
