Painting was one of those things that I was willing to learn and try. We have remodeled our house in stages for 20+ years and, except for the new kitchen, my wife and I have done all the interior painting. I can tell you that I totally believe that a painter contractor could not have done a better job. I explain how to do a great paint job and save money, including how not to waste paint when you want to use several different colors, in our book The Happy Remodelers.
