A well-rounded kitchen is a thing of beauty. The Circle Kitchen is a space-saving unit that rotates a cool 180 degrees. This compacting cook station includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher, along with shelves that turn all the way around for full-circle access to pots, pans and dishes. And the amount of your charge card purchase to Compact Concepts for your fit-anywhere kitchen? A mere $6,500 will get you the low-end unit, and if you want all the bells and whistles, plan on spending $15,000.

And cleaning the kitchen just got a lot easier. Close the doors and it’s out of sight, out of mind.

If you’re not concerned about space but love the circular look, here’s a sleek kitchen from Living in Style. It brings new meaning to sitting ‘round the kitchen and enjoying each other’s company. Serving is made easy from the center while the cook enjoys space and function.

Last but not least, the Ferrari kitchen design from KitcheConcept offers more fluidity of motion than the standard U- and L-shaped kitchens – more aestheticism than the circular kitchens above. This shiny, bright red beauty is as racy as a Ferrari with its curvy countertop, teardrop-shaped cooking island, square barstools and tall, circular shelving. Now, to work on the whole cash flow angle…

Those are some real stylish kitchen designs and concepts. But how environmentally friendly are they?

In researching the kitchens, specifics about the use of eco-conscious materials and ENERGY STAR appliances were not included. However I can see how both could easily be incorporated into the last two designs. And, since downsizing kitchens is becoming key for energy efficiency, the Circle Kitchen has the other two beat hands down, at least in that arena. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Circle Kitchen go “green,” if it isn’t already, as sales and eco-friendly requests go hand in hand. Let me know if you find research about their “friendliness.”
