Decorating Kitchen Walls

There are a few main options when it comes to wall coverings for your new kitchen. Its important to consider the amount of wear and tear that the walls will endure. If you have kids we recommend that you focus on either paint or ceramic tile for their ease of cleaning.
Paint
Paint will last 5 to 10 years and gives you a wide variety of decorating options. Youll want to purchase a mildew-resistant paint designed for kitchens. Most reputable paint manufacturer has a bathroom specific paint.
Wallpaper
Wallpaper should last at least 7 years, if properly installed. If your bathroom is on the petite size, wallpaper may not be your best choice since the moisture can easily start to ruin even the best of wallpaper.
Ceramic Tile
Ceramic tile can be used to create a wains coat that stretches half way up the walls around the bathroom. Ceramic tile will last a lifetime but…not to pick on grout again…requires regular maintenance. Theres nothing like relaxing in your tub or whirlpool and staring at mildew.
Wood
Wood can be used to create a wains coat around the bottom half of a bathrooms walls. It works best in older homes, especially craftsmans or cottages. Wood can be painted or stained to mix with other colors and materials in the bathroom.
