And freestanding doesn’t have to mean skimpy or “unofficial.” From IKEA to Amish design, these cabinets are worth having around as permanently as any built-in.

I’ve always had built-in cabinets but I like the idea of free standing
cabinets. Because of the larger appliances, flexibility would be limited, however there is absolutely no flexibility with built-in cabinets.

The best thing about freestanding kitchen cabinets is you can change the look of your kitchen without an expensive kitchen renovation by simply moving or replacing one of the kitchen cabinets
