Colorful Custom Kitchen Range Hoods

Sure, practicality is important in the modern kitchen. But what if practicality and function came in a nice, pretty package? Wouldn’t that be the bright and delicious icing on the cake?

Pando, a Spanish range hood design and manufacturing company, has introduced several lines of venting kitchen hoods that are functional, colorful and gorgeously artistic.
Their Colourlife series is a unique line of stainless steel wall and ceiling mounted cooker hoods that range from the ordinary to the extraordinary. While their shape will not surprise you – they’re either square or rectangular – the color and pattern options will blow your mind.

Each of the eight models in the Colourlife line have their own shape and mounting specifications, but each also carries a catalog of choices for the façade design. Several of the hoods give you the option of similar solid colors for the face of the hood, like red, green, orange, black and even blue and purple. A few of the façades come with patterns in florals or other art deco designs. They are incredibly chic and add so much character to what might otherwise be a big plain box hanging from the ceiling.

Switch over to the New Evolution line and artistic is your only option – not that I’m complaining. Many of the nine hoods in this series look more like designer wall art than range hoods.

With the sphere at the center of these designs, the hoods dangle elegantly above your cooking surface and bring distinct style to the kitchen. The New Evolution series is also mainly made of stainless steel, but instead of hiding the silver material, the designers have cleverly showcased it in a series of unique patterns. My favorite is the I-470 above, which looks like a swirl of metal wrapped around itself.

It’s exciting to see how such a dull, functional part of your everyday kitchen can be transformed into something fun and whimsical, while still performing its daily duties. The only question now is, where will I put my microwave?

I love those decorative cooker hoods by Pando.. This gives me an idea to paint our piece here, if possible. The only issue is, I dont want to paint directly on the hood, it wouldn’t match if ever we decide to repaint or remodel the kitchen.

It can be fun to play with the shape of the hood, but it is important to make sure it will still perform well. Otherwise you might end up with a piece of metal hanging in your face that smells like last week’s fish.
Copper range hoods can make a statement and still be effective at moving the odors out.

Now they are some of the must stunning hoods I’ve ever seen. The colourlife series look brilliant and would look more like a piece of art in the kitchen. I wonder if the panels could be replaced if you decided to change your decorative scheme.
