When another blog produces a praise-worthy lineup of great designs, we like to give credit where credit is due. Our friends over at Remodelista did just that with their collection of modern wood kitchens. Here are our favorites: This beautifully sleek Scandinavian design juxtaposes wood with stainless steel appliances, creating the perfect amount of warmth. The cabinetry next to the refrigerator disappears into one seamless unit, which makes the whole space look stylishly put together. Found in a 1453 French chateau, this design highlights the kitchens simplistic beginnings while still pulling it through to the modern day. The combination of light and dark wood brings interest to the room. A New Zealand kitchen created by architect Tim Dorrington, this space plays on the great amount of natural light that pours through the windows on the adjacent wall. It provides ample storage space while still making the room seem crisp, clean and cohesive. Swedish designer Lo Bjurulf makes an interesting statement with bleached wood in this kitchen. The combination of the knickknacks and wood finish make it feel like something straight out of a country catalog. Hogan Architects created this design in a South Kensington flat. Utilizing the space given, the divider separates the rooms while still playing with the contrasting colors of wood. Who said that wood didnt lend itself well to modern design? Surely this fantastic round-up has proved the naysayers wrong.
