[digg-me]All across the country organizations exist all over dedicated to either making the world a better place or just helping to keep the world we live in spinning around just the way we need it to. In the interest of the latter so many organizations dedicated to growing awareness, educating industry professionals and changing laws to benefit those who make an effort to be energy efficient have sprouted up to really make a difference in our world.
We’ve decided to salute as many of these organizations as we could find! From educating home owners about the tax benefits of window replacement to training builders in the art of energy efficient remodels these outstanding organizations get the nod from us as doing a job well done. The U.S. Green Building Council, one of the largest and most influential organizations, is a confederacy of environmentally-minded builders, engineers, architects, contractors, homeowners and citizens whose goal is to build energy-efficient and sustainable buildings under the qualifications of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

International Energy Agency operates an intergovernmental association across the globe to ensure reliable, affordable, and clean energy for world citizens. They accomplish this by acting as policy adviser to 28 member countries. They are located in Paris, but have offices stateside.
The Alliance to Save Energy strives to create an energy-efficient world. They support cost-effective energy resources and try to help consumers cope with energy costs through research, education and policy advocacy. They are located in Washington, D.C.
Although they operate like a store, they have the structure of a nonprofit organization. AISO has a unique approach to web hosting, offering solar-powered and green web hosting, as well as sustainable web solutions. They are located in Romoland, CA.
