Finding a way to extract movement out of a slab of wood is undoubtedly a challenging task, but for John Galvin of Bespoke Furniture, it’s all in a day’s work. These pieces will have you looking at trees in a whole new light. Here are a few of my favorites.
#1 – Toy Soldier Cube Lights
For those that couldn’t get enough of the determined group of soldiers in Toy Story, why not put ‘em on display? I’m not sure what to think of these cube lights, but I guarantee that there are a bunch of little ones just dying to have these in their room.
#2 – Neapolitan Side Board
With circular indentations in the wood and a flowing variation in the grain, this piece conjures images of waterfalls. The juxtaposition of dark and light allow it to fit nicely with a wide variety of other furniture pieces.
#3 – Sapelle & Maple Laminate Table
The curvature of this table, along with stripes of dark and light wood, make it feel as if it’s alive with movement. It’s perfect as a coffee table and focal point for the living room.
#4 – Cube Seating
Now for a bit of color. These cube seats offer a fun and easy seating alternative for anyone that might come to visit. They could also serve double-duty as a side table if need be.
#5 – Walnut Desk
The design may be simple, but the quality of the material makes it spectacular. It’s strong, sturdy and elegant.
Bespoke Furniture doesn’t create your run-of-the-mill boxed-assembly-required pieces. Everything is built by a craftsman that knows exactly what he’s doing. And that just means fantastic furniture.
