Remembering Green… the Color, That Is

Green is now synonymous with environmental awareness, but let’s not forget, it’s a great color, too. Fellow CalFinder blogger Anna mentioned once that whenever you pass the occasional, eye-popping fluorescent green house, you can’t help wondering what the homeowner was thinking. Fluorescent green exterior paint aside, green can be a modern, quirky, eclectic, even earthy accent or focal point. That’s why this Green Wednesday post is dedicated to ideas on going green, literally.
Animal Print Vessel Sink

If you’re gonna go there, why not go all the way? Yes, even a bathroom sink can be green. This one is part of Vitruvit’s Ethnic collection.

Joe Chair by Lloyd Loom

Don’t these green chairs look charming against an all-white kitchen? Chrome plated and made of woven paper rattan, they’ve got a natural feel and contemporary appeal.

Direct Green Paint by Sherwin-Williams

I like the way this shade doesn’t try to be inconspicuous. It’s not a forest green or a light mint cop-out. Here’s how it looks in the kitchen. It’s got some energy to it. I can imagine this color in a living room, too.

Pro Series 48″ Range

This range definitely needs the right kitchen to go with it. Could it be yours?

Bamboo Flooring

Green’s what you think of when you here the words “bamboo floor,” but did you ever picture it like this?
