A quaint little cottage in the wilderness sounds fantastic to me…in theory. Truth is, I’m much more city than country, and I’d be longing for more restaurant choices after only a week. But at least I can dream about a simpler life with these beautiful pictures of a Norfolk, CT residence by Plattdana Architects.
The property itself exudes quiet serenity. A screened-in porch ensures that the outdoors can be enjoyed even in the middle of a rainstorm.
I imagine the kitchen as the prime spot for family gatherings, especially given the mammoth-sized table right in the center. Light wood touches keep things bright and comfortable, while white cabinets and minor colors let the room speak for itself.
A fireplace captivates the living room, and chairs bring extra interest to the space while everything else is kept simple. Two side doors lead straight on to the screened-in porch.
I think Ive found a vacation spot that could cure me of my technology addiction, but I may not be ready yet for a full-time commitment. The pictures, however, certainly deserve some admiring.
