One of my pet peves is when the homeowner waits forever to replace their wooden fence..and when we try to get it out in one piece it all just falls apart.

I wish I lived where I could get rid of my fence and enjoy the sights of nature from my yard~! However, here in the suburbs all the yards are fenced - and with good reason.

It's bad enough having my neighbors' barking dogs on the other side of a 6 ft wood fence, I can't imagine what would happen here without fences. I guess the best case scenario would be that all the barking dogs would chase each other off and never return!

I have a dog of my own, but she's not allowed to go out and bark for hours at a time. When the others start barking & won't stop I just call her in - I don't want her developing that bad habit. I've had as many as 4 dogs at a time without a problem, so the problem is actually the neighbors, not the dogs!

Unfortunately, fences are sometimes a necessity. I can't wait to move away to a place without fences!

Bamboo is an outstanding choice. My son decided to cover the chain link that runs at the side of the house where everyone parks. That is also where the traffic is the busiest. He wanted to be able to know who is parking, cut out some of the sound and headlights, but also have privacy. The bamboo over the chain link worked perfect. We put it in this last summer, and it still is in great shape inspite of the snow, rain and harsh winds we have had so far this winter. Thanks for the input and the company you went through.

A couple years ago we covered an ugly, old chain link fence in the backyard with bamboo fencing, and although we were originally opting for it for it's sustainability/greenness, turns out bamboo is unbelievably strong and beautiful. It still looks like new! And with the lack of upkeep, and simple installation we figure it was far cheaper than a cedar or traditional wood fence. The company we went with (www.calibamboo.com) helped to make the whole process very easy too.
