When I hear the phrase "celebrity homes," I think of the tacky over-the-top properties that stretch from Hollywood Hills up the Malibu coastline. I certainly don’t expect them to be examples of simple charm, great style or unique architecture. With a remarkable library, expansive maps of various parts of the world and a room dedicated to LEGO-building for her two kids, Dexter and Duke, this is a home of learning and creativity. The house was built in 1927 by architect Ralph Flewelling, and looks like it’s on the market today for $11.9 million.
