CalFinder was founded in 2005 by Jason Polka, who realized that the process of tracking down quality contractors was much more difficult than it needed to be. Working out of his El Sobrante, CA garage with only three colleagues, a fax machine and the sweltering California heat, these dedicated four became the heart and soul of CalFinder.

Though we’ve grown since then, we remain true to our humble start-up beginnings with a passion for excellence and a drive to serve homeowners across the nation. This same self-motivated atmosphere can be seen and felt in our current office in beautiful Frank Ogawa Plaza in Downtown Oakland, where the high energy and enthusiasm of our team continue to yield outstanding results for both homeowners and contractors alike.
